Buying guide
What to Look for in Kids Furniture
Kids rooms need furniture that is safe, sturdy and flexible enough to change as children grow. Keep these tips in mind:
Put safety first
Anchor dressers and bookcases to the wall, and choose bunk beds with guardrails on both sides of the top bunk and a secure ladder.
Plan for growth
Twin and full beds, trundles and loft beds can serve a child for years, and some bunk beds can be separated into two beds later.
Make the most of the space
Bunk, loft and storage beds free up floor space for play and homework in smaller rooms.
Choose easy-care finishes
Kids are tough on furniture, so look for durable finishes and surfaces that are easy to wipe clean.
Add storage they can reach
Low drawers, bins and shelves make it easier for children to put their own things away.
